Community Counseling Training Center

The Community Counseling Training Center is offering in-person and telehealth counseling sessions for individual adults, couples, families and minors ages 6 to 17. The CCTC offers limited services for group counseling and individual appointments for minors ages 3-5.

The Community Counseling Training Center (CCTC) is a training and counseling center. The counselors and supervisors provide high quality, culturally responsive counseling services to NIU students, faculty, staff and community members.

Located in 416 Graham Hall on the NIU DeKalb campus, the CCTC is housed in the Department of Counseling and Higher Education in the College of Education. Our state of the art facility is equipped with the appropriate technology to ensure the safety and privacy of our clients, while retaining a comfortable atmosphere.

The CCTC provides exceptional counseling services by advanced level master's and doctoral students who are supervised by faculty with the appropriate licenses and doctoral degrees. We are proud to serve both NIU and the DeKalb County Community by providing free counseling services to all.
