How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in applying to the School Counselor Institute. For more information about the program, review our frequently asked questions.

  • Prepare Application Materials

    Your application includes:

    • Application packet consisting of applicant information and an essay
    • Two letters of recommendation
    • All graduate master's-level transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
    • Current resume
  • Submit Application

    Submit your materials to the counseling program. Do not submit materials to the Graduate School.

    You're responsible for ensuring your application materials are received.

  • Attend Pre-admissions Workshop

    Our faculty will review your application. If selected to move forward, you'll receive an email invitation to our pre-admissions workshop (PAW), which includes an interview, an introduction to the program and a meeting with faculty. After the workshop, we'll notify you of our admission decision.

    The workshop is typically held on Friday of the second full week of April or November after the application deadline.
