Mary Beth Henning, Ph.D.

Mary Beth Henning teaches courses on the improvement of social studies curriculum and instruction.  She also teaches courses in curriculum and instruction theory and courses that review research in teacher education and curriculum and instruction. As former co-director and current Advisory Board member of the NIU Center for Economic Education, Dr. Henning has presented to hundreds of teachers about the improvement of economic education. Her research interests focus on integrated curriculum and instruction and reinvigorating social studies teaching and learning.
